As a leading Arbroath B&B, we want to ensure your stay is as enjoyable as possible. Please take a look at some of the information for our guests below, and get in touch if you have any question, no matter how small.
We understand that your journey may have been tiring or stressful so upon arrival we serve our guests a tray of tea or coffee, accompanied by homemade scones & preserves or a selection of lovely biscuits.
The breakfasting room is one of style, atmosphere and ambience. A sumptuous gourmet breakfast awaits which is made from the finest local, organic produce and Fairtrade products.
Fruit from my organic garden or picked from the local farm are used to make the large range of homemade preserves. Organic and fairtrade ingredients are used in my homemade loaves which are baked daily. Local produce is used to make the delicious Scottish breakfasts which are on offer at The Old Vicarage and being based in Arbroath – home of the world famous Arbroath “Smokie” – we are proud to offer freshly sourced local fish to our guests.
Please take a look at our sample breakfast menu:
If the cooked breakfasts are too much for you, lighter options are available. We offer pancakes & maple syrup and croissants. Alternatively, if you would prefer something savory you make like to try cheese and a selection of cold meats served with homemade rhubarb or plum chutney made from the fruit grown in the organic garden.
Toast is plentiful as is a daily selection of fresh fruit juice and cafetiere of Fairtrade coffee and pot of Fairtrade tea.
If you do not see anything on the menu which you would choose then please request what you would like and I will do my best to source it for you. At the Old Vicarage, Arbroath B&B nothing is too much trouble and all diets are catered for.
Each guest room has tea & coffee making facilities, so you can make yourself a hot drink whenever you require. Tea & Coffee are also served upon arrival (see above).
We know that it’s useful to be able to stay in touch with family and friends when travelling, so we have a WiFi network that is free to use for all our guests. Please ask for network details when you arrive and we will be happy to help you connect.
Although we provide all our guests with a delicious and filling breakfast, everyone can feel a bit hungry later in the day, so we have a provided some recommendations for eating around the Arbroath area:
